Bio based materials ≠ biodegradable materials

The sources of biodegradable materials: 1. Directly from biomass (such as starch and cellulose);

2. It is converted from biomass (such as PLA);

3. Through the synthesis of petrochemical raw materials (such as PBAT, PCL, ppdo, etc.);

4. Some of the raw materials come from biology and some from petroleum / coal (for example, succinic acid for PBS preparation can be obtained by starch fermentation, and butanediol is from petrochemical industry)
